DUTY MANAGER

JOB SPECIFICATION

This role is for up to 40 hours per week, applications will be considered from candidates wishing to work part time however the ability to work weekends, bank holidays and some evenings is essential.

CurveMotion is a pioneering indoor interactive venue offering activities for all the family including roller skating, soft play, dedicated party facilities and a high-quality bistro.

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals to join our onsite management team. As a Duty Manager, you will work within our close-knit management team consisting of other Duty Managers and Supervisors. This is an excellent role for developing and stretching your leadership and management skills. You will be responsible for all operational aspects of the venue whilst on shift. The venue is a varied and exciting place to work - there's not many roles that start the day with a clamber through the largest playframe in the region

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service and team leading skills and will be able to motivate and manage a team. Previous experience in a leisure or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities:

· Effective supervision of customers within the venue ensuring their safety, and well-being.

· Delivering exceptional customer service.

· Ensuring the rules of the venue are adhered to by all customers, visitors, and staff.

· Guaranteeing the venue exceeds standards whether regulatory or otherwise.

· Full responsibility for on-site finances during each shift including tills, takings, petty cash, change, cashing up and reconciliations required at the end of the day.

· Adhering to company policies and procedures.

· Motivating and managing staff.

· Co-ordinating staff resources to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing provision.

· Undertaking daily checks of the facilities and equipment.

· Ensuring all staff adhere to all regulations and legislation relating to their place of work including, and especially with regard to children.

· Taking responsibility for operational aspects of the venue (either directly or indirectly).

· Ensuring adherence to all health and safety processes (regulatory or otherwise).

· Ensuring familiarisation with all risk assessments and adherence to action points dictated.

· Reporting and liaising with the Senior Management Team in respect of any issues.

· Undertake other duties as required in the case of sickness, staff absence or when needed during busy periods.

· Be on call for emergencies when required.

The person appointed to this role will be required to have the following skills:-

· Be IT literate, with experience of Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Have knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation.

· Have a proven track record in a team leadership role.

Applicants must prove eligibility for full time work in the UK.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.50-£14.00 per hour
