Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a primary-aged pupil with additional needs. Key Responsibilities
1. Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional learning and/or behavioural needs
2. Assist in the delivery of personalised learning activities in line with the pupil’s individual education plan (IEP)
3. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
4. Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development
5. Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals
6. Monitor and record progress, providing feedback where necessary
Requirements
7. Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
8. Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) is highly desirable
9. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
10. Strong communication and teamwork skills
11. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
