About the Opportunity
As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful and timely completion of large-scale construction and civil infrastructure projects such as the redevelopment and refurbishment of Southampton Port.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met.
* Allocate resources effectively and efficiently to meet project demands and timelines.
* Track project progress, identify potential delays and implement corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.
* Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and risks.
* Ensure compliance with NEC contracts and other relevant regulations and standards.
* Identify and mitigate risks associated with project schedules and resource allocation.
* Work closely with project managers, engineers and other team members to ensure seamless project execution.
* Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, progress reports and compliance records.
Qualifications
* Proven experience managing large-scale construction and civil infrastructure projects.
* Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 for scheduling and management.
* Strong understanding of NEC contracts and their application.
* Experience on Development Consent Order infrastructure projects is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* High attention to detail.
* Team player with ability to collaborate.
* Willingness to travel across the UK as needed.
* Degree qualified and holding certifications such as PMP or similar.
