Reward Consultant Salary: £44,075 - £49,282 Grade 7 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Workstyle: Flexible Workstyle (Hybrid) with a minimum requirement to in the office of at least twice a week with additional attendance as required. About the Role Are you passionate about shaping pay and reward strategies, do you have experience in developing effective initiatives in a large, complex environment? Are you interested in driving forward the Council’s reward plan? If yes, please read on…… As a member of the Pay and Reward team you will support the People Policy and Strategy Lead to develop and implement our employee reward and benefits offer, ensuring we remain an attractive employer of choice. You’ll be the Council’s subject matter expert on reward and benefits, managing our benefits portal, driving supplier relationships, and providing insightful data to inform strategic decisions. From leading procurement projects to promoting our benefits package across the organisation, your work will make a real impact on how we continue to grow our reward strategy and enhance our employee experience. You will: Develop and implement the Council’s reward and benefits strategy. Manage and co-ordinate salary sacrifice schemes and liaise and other schemes Lead on procurement and implementation of new benefits suppliers. Monitor contracts, KPIs, and escalate issues where necessary. Provide management information on benefits uptake and trends. Promote the Council’s benefits offer internally and externally. Whilst the successful candidate will focus on rewards and benefits we will be offering training to undertake job evaluations. Some roles are agile which enable and empower employees to maximise their performance and productivity, whilst maintaining a healthy work life balance. Roles with a fixed workstyle work in a fixed permanent council location. Roles with a field workstyle are usually allocated where employees are required to be out working in the community with a minimum requirement for 'touch down' space at any council location. Roles with a flexible workstyle have a flexible base location to meet the needs of the business and employees can work from a mixture of home or any council office, partner/client, or external location, as required to meet service requirements.
