Overview
This fixed term/secondment post runs until 13 March 2026 to meet the needs of the service. A rare opportunity has arisen to join the Dietetics Department at Glan Clwyd Hospital as a Specialist Stroke Dietitian. MDT working is a key part of the role and developing these relationships will be vital. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main duties and responsibilities
Quality Improvement work is essential to ensure continued service improvements are identified and encouraged within the team. The role includes supervision of junior staff, dietetic assistants and student training as an integral part of the job. The post involves MDT collaboration and development of professional relationships.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Degree in Dietetics
* HCPC registration
Desirable criteria
* Member of specialist interest group. Working towards MSc or evidence of a research qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
* Post registration training in specialist area/advanced diploma in dietetics
* Member of British Dietetic Association
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of service development and ability to use own initiative. Clinical educators course
Skills
Essential criteria
* Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in a team and unsupervised. Ability to manage own workload. Proven organisational skills. Good time management skills. Good teaching, supervisory and appraisal skills.
Desirable criteria
* Basic IT/Keyboard skills. Experience in working in the community/lone working. Experience in risk management.
