About The Role The Horticulture and Well-Being Lead at Navigation House is a unique opportunity for the post holder to oversee the learning and skills development of people with learning disabilities, learning difficulties and Autism. The role will focus on maximising the horticultural space and resources available at Navigation House to create high levels of social impact and increased well-being for people with a disability. With our people at the centre of everything that we do, the role involves delivering accredited training to our people and involving them in the growing of produce for use at Stepping Stones NI catering sites. With an enterprising horticultural approach, the post holder will also develop and deliver a programme of horticultural and wellbeing workshops for the public to generate income. In addition, the postholder will be the primary contact for external organisations using the on-site conference, meeting and event spaces. We are looking for a motivated and enterprising self-starter to join our team who has a passion for horticulture and people, and shares our values and mission Required Criteria A minimum level 3 horticulture qualification At least two years experience working in a horticultural environment Experience of delivering horticulture training to a wide variety of groups and abilities Experience of managing trainees/volunteers and practical work on site Display an understanding of how to support people with learning disabilities Ability to work and drive a team and work effectively with partners Ability to meet targets and KPIs IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office packages Can plan and manage workload effectively with the ability to manage competing priorities Current Full UK driving license Desired Criteria Experience of working with clients with a learning disability Experience of event and conference management Training qualification Experience of managing projects Skills Needed Customer Relationship Management, Communication, Developing People Salary £30,870.00 per year Skills: Customer Relationship Man Communication Developing People Benefits: Vacation, Paid time off Retirement plan and/or pension Flexible schedule Competitive salary
