Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of our food production. Responsibilities
- Help with cooking and baking tasks as directed by the chef or kitchen supervisor
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Support the team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and procedures
- Flexibility to work weekends, and holidays as needed
