We now have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring and creative PE Teacher to join our close-knit team at Cambian Potterspury Lodge School.
Location: Cambian Potterspury Lodge School - Towcester, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £43,680 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, term time only
Class sizes: no more than 6 students supported with the Teaching Assistant
Driving licence: essential due to school location
Responsibilities
* Plan and teach well-structured lessons.
* Manage classes effectively, using approaches appropriate to students\' needs to motivate them.
* Manage student anxiety effectively to ensure an enjoyable and safe working environment.
* Understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas you teach, including statutory assessment requirements.
* Experience of teaching at KS2, KS3 or KS4 in a specialist or mainstream setting.
* Demonstrate a dedicated work ethic to meet the needs of all students.
* Be passionate about making learning effective and enjoyable.
* Qualified in subject specialism.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Qualified PE Teacher with subject specialism.
* Experience in SEMH/SEN provision is desirable; applications from mainstream or college settings will be considered.
* Knowledge of current best practice in the chosen subject.
* Training and development provided in line with identified needs and career progression.

Potterspury Lodge School is an Ofsted registered independent specialist school offering 38 week, term-time education for students aged 8 - 16 years old with Autism Spectrum Condition, complex needs and challenging behaviour. The purpose of the school is to prepare students for the demands of adult life through staff expertise and specialist approaches in a nurturing environment that supports academic, social and emotional growth.
