Executive Officer Role - Belfast (BT1 2NQ)
Pay: £17.77 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, office hours, usually 9:00am - 5:00pm (36 hours per week) however some flexibility may be required
Contract: temporary assignment until November 2026 (may be a potential for extension)
Working Pattern: Fully onsite while training, then remote working, please note you will need to attend some ad hoc meetings on site and some organisational workshops
The Role
We're currently recruiting for two temporary Executive Officers for the Education Authority (EA), based in Belfast. This is a great opportunity for someone to showcase their experience within a public sector organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* To work alongside government-controlled schools to create a working business partner relationship
* Use existing Excel templates to question and verify school's costings. Ensuring all information is accurate and any anomalies rectified
* Conduct daily virtual meetings with key schools and stakeholders
* Contributing to finalise each school's three-year funding plans
* General administration in relation to all aspects of the work of the section including typing, databases, spreadsheets, email, intranet and internet facilities
* Prepare letters, minutes, notes and other clerical support to officers as appropriate
* Customer service (Telephone/directly customer facing)
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience within a finance based role
* Attention to detail
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically a strong working knowledge of Excel
* Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work
