We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist with expertise in falls prevention strategies, specialist seating, postural care, and pain management. This position serves the Swansea Care Home Inreach Team, based at Ty Garngoch, Gorseinon. The role is fully integrated with a consultant-led proactive MDT. Experience in dealing with Dementia and profound communication difficulties is essential. Liaising with Care Home Managers and advising on physiotherapy-related care issues is a key component of the role.
The role is within the SBUHB Mental Health Physiotherapy team, supported by the Clinical Lead and two other B7 Older Persons MH physiotherapists. A full-time Band 4 Physiotherapy Technician also works within the team.
We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist with skills in falls prevention, specialist seating, postural care, and pain management.

Main duties of the job
1. Provide clinical leadership for junior and support staff through supervision and appraisal as delegated by the supervisor.
2. Participate in planning, development, and evaluation of Physiotherapy Services within this area, including responsibility for specific projects.
3. Work flexibly to meet service needs, including a 7-day shift pattern, travel between SBU Health Board sites as required, and extended hours covering 365 days a year.
4. Encourage innovation and service development at all levels of the Physiotherapy Service.
5. Contribute to maintaining and developing the Swansea Bay Physiotherapy Service. Supervise physiotherapy students on placements and other students (e.g., Work Experience).
6. Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to develop skills and knowledge through developmental activities. Lead clinical staff learning and development within your area of expertise.
7. Continue personal development in clinical interests, Service Improvement, and leadership and management.

Qualifications
* Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy

* Wide range of clinical experience in relevant areas
