Overview
Hygiene Machine Minder B Shift Tuesday to Friday 22.00-06.00, Saturday 18.00-02.00 £16.18 per hour. Responsibilities include setting up and operating process machinery to achieve production targets and quality standards, while complying with Hygiene, Health & Safety requirements.
Responsibilities
* Set up the machinery ready for production; perform a thorough check of all process machinery, ensure all guards are in place and functioning correctly.
* Ensure Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures are followed at all times.
* Ensure the correct product and equipment are available prior to start up so the line is ready to commence production at the appointed time.
* Continuously monitor machinery to ensure it is running correctly and safely during production; identify and report any mechanical faults or problems immediately to the Department Manager.
* Monitor product quality and liaise with QA as appropriate.
* Calculate throughputs and ensure correct throughput is obtained for the product being run.
* Minimise wastage by proper setup and placing baskets/dolavs appropriately along the line.
* Undertake daily cleaning duties of machinery.
* Pass on relevant information and documentation concerning the line at shift changeover.
* At the end of production, remove any cutting blades and ensure the machine is safe; ensure machinery is emptied and materials are moved to designated storage areas.
* Maintain all paperwork and hand over documentation to the oncoming shift.
* In the event of a fire alarm, shut down all designated process machinery before leaving the building.
* Perform any other duties as directed by the Department Manager.
