Salary paying between £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + Up to 10% bonus annually

Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join a high-performing engineering team working in a modern DevOps environment for a large defence consultancy. This role suits someone with a growth mindset, strong communication skills, and the confidence to guide and support other engineers when needed.
You’ll be hands-on with cloud-native development, contributing to the design, build, and delivery of scalable, secure solutions within AWS.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain cloud-native applications on AWS
* Work collaboratively within a DevOps / DevSecOps culture
* Support and mentor team members where appropriate
* Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and workflow orchestration
* Ensure solutions follow security best practices and AWS standards
* S3
* Glue

* DynamoDB
* OpenSearch
* CloudFormation
* API Gateway
* ECS
* CloudWatch
* Strong experience with Kotlin / Java
* Node.js and TypeScript
* SQL
* Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
* Hands-on use of DynamoDB
* Building and managing CI/CD pipelines
* Git and GitHub Actions
* Strong understanding of DevOps / DevSecOps practices
