Finance Manager – Technical Accounting & Consolidation required for a FTSE-listed business (Hybrid – Maidenhead)

Stanton House are partnering with a well-established, FTSE-listed business with a strong national presence delivering high-profile infrastructure projects. As part of an ongoing drive to enhance financial governance and reporting capability, the business is seeking a Finance Manager – Technical Accounting & Consolidation to join its central Group Finance team.
This is a critical role within the developing technical accounting and consolidation function, responsible for supporting group external reporting, coordinating consolidations across multiple entities, and delivering complex technical accounting outputs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of group financial information, while supporting the external audit process and providing high-quality technical advice to senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements:
* Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) with post-qualified experience
* Strong accounting skills with deep understanding of IFRS and group consolidation
* Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and disclosure notes
* Background in technical accounting or external audit preferred
* Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex financial matters to non-finance stakeholders
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail
* Experience with Oracle or similar ERP system desirable
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and review group and subsidiary consolidation packs on a quarterly basis
* Coordinate the external audit process, ensuring delivery of high-quality audit information
* Produce and review technical accounting papers and IFRS disclosures
* Support the preparation of statutory accounts and Board reporting in compliance with IFRS and Companies Act requirements
* Lead on complex accounting areas such as IFRS 16, IFRS 9, IFRS 2, IAS 33, and IAS 24
* Provide technical accounting guidance to the wider business and finance teams
* Support the maintenance and training rollout of the Group Accounting Manual
* Drive continuous improvement and simplification across reporting, consolidation, and control processes
* Contribute to broader finance transformation and governance initiatives
