Group Payroll Manager
Our client, a well-established and successful group of companies, is seeking a Group Payroll Manager to take ownership of their payroll function and ensure seamless delivery across multiple entities.
The Group Payroll Manager plays a key role in delivering accurate, compliant payrolls across multiple trading companies. You’ll oversee all payroll matters, ensuring confidentiality, statutory compliance, and strong support to Finance and HR. We’re seeking a detail-driven professional with experience managing complex payrolls, who thrives under pressure and builds trusted relationships across teams.
Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end monthly payroll for the companies within the group, ensuring all payments are processed accurately and on time.
* Oversee all statutory submissions and HMRC returns, including PAYE, NI, pensions and year-end reporting.
* Administer employee and director benefits, including salary sacrifice and company pension schemes.
* Maintain compliance with RTI, HMRC and auto-enrolment regulations, keeping up to date with legislative changes.
* Undertake monthly payroll account reconciliations and ensure integrity of payroll data within the finance system.
* Collaborate closely with HR to manage payroll queries, parental pay, statutory leave and benefit administration.
* Oversee the employee expenses process, ensuring adherence to company policy and effective reimbursement procedures.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in payroll reconciliations and pensions administration.
* A strong understanding of UK payroll legislation, taxation, and pensions.
* Excellent Excel and reporting skills.
* A proactive and solution-focused approach, with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
