Engineer / Senior Engineer
*The engineering position and title is subject to the experience of the candidate. We are happy to discuss the position with engineers who have residential design experience at all levels, either consultancy based or from within a residential developer.

Main Function
To provide and manage the engineering input on specific projects and to support the Senior Technical team
Key Functional Areas
· To provide cost effective/innovative design solutions and in a timely manner
· To ensure that individual projects run smoothly from an engineering perspective
· To keep the Technical Director informed of key issues
· To be able to act upon instructions from the Technical Director
· To always work in compliance with the relevant CDM regulations and fulfil the gateways contained within the Miller Homes CDM tracker.
· To adhere to all relevant processes and procedures at all times.
Key Capabilities Required

· To have the ability to design, manage and supervise projects and to ensure that external consultants and sub-contractors understand their brief and provide their respective input in a clear, timely and cost effective manner
· Be able to evaluate reports and provide cost effective design solutions for land appraisals and land purchase

· To be able to take instructions and act upon them in a prompt and positive way
(3) Knowledge, Experience and Qualification
· To be qualified to HNC/HND level and have a sound knowledge and understanding of engineering issues often encountered by house-builders
· To have strong communication and presentation skills
· To be aware of emerging legislation and the impact on the business
