SEND Tutor (1:1 & Small Group Support)
Location: StockportPay: £30-£35 per hour (depending on experience)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Tutor to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This role involves delivering high-quality support either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups of up to six students, helping learners to build confidence, develop key skills, and reach their full potential.
The Role
As a SEND Tutor, you will:
* Provide tailored educational support to students with a range of SEND needs
* Deliver engaging, structured sessions aligned with individual learning plans
* Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
* Support students academically, socially, and emotionally
* Work independently while maintaining clear communication with parents, carers, and professionals where required
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience working with children or young people with SEND (essential)
* Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs
* Ability to tutor 1:1 and manage small groups (up to 6 students) effectively
* Relevant qualifications or tutoring/teaching experience (desirable)
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
