An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy Car Parking & Security Team within the Directorate of Estates, Facilities & PFI. The post holder will support a full range of Car Parking and Security duties within the Car Parking & Security Department at County Hospital.
Car Parking and Security operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The successful candidate will support the department, assisting existing staff and covering absences within an established rolling rota shift pattern as required.
Pay
Staff will benefit from enhanced payments on top of their basic hourly pay:
* Basic pay: £12.08 per hour.
* Additional Payments:
* Unsociable hours (between 20:00 and 06:00): an additional 41% per hour.
* Saturday work: an additional 41% per hour.
* Sunday work: an additional 83% per hour.
Experience in this role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Role Responsibilities
* Providing a professional, efficient, and timely service to patients, visitors, and departments.
* Patrolling the County site, which involves long periods of walking (up to 20,000 steps per day).
* Dealing with parking queries and acting as the point of contact for site security.
* Operating CCTV, investigating alarm activations, and managing security incidents.
* Handling crime detection and prevention, de-escalating situations, and safe restraint when necessary.
