Randstad Engineering: Electrical Project Engineer
Randstad Engineering is currently recruiting for an Electrical Project Engineer to work at the steel works in Shotton (CH5). This is a permanent role paying up to £38,000 per annum.
What you will do:
The role of Electrical Project Engineer will proactively engage in the process of business expansion, process improvement, and development. He/she will need to liaise with line management, other Building Systems functions, and third parties to deliver the team's objectives, overcoming any issues that may occur. A key personal attribute being flexibility and an ability to self-prioritize within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Additional responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to:
1. Accountable for specific business and process-driven improvement projects within the area of expertise.
2. To act as lead engineer on process improvements and system enhancements for BSUK.
3. Support the day-to-day workload of the Project team to ensure AP targets of availability are met and exceeded.
4. Identify Operational Improvements to maximize availability at optimum cost, to good standards of workmanship, and in conformance with all Company standards and procedures.
5. Contribute to the determination and co-ordination of preventative maintenance programs to ensure that unplanned downtime is avoided.
6. Assist in the Asset Improvement Plan to determine any vulnerabilities in our equipment.
7. Deliver training to operators to facilitate optimum productivity.
8. Understand, deploy, and recommend improvements to production control procedures to support team performance objectives.
9. Ensure that team operations are conducted in a manner that fully complies with Tata Building Systems' policies.
10. Be actively involved in personal development plans to maximize performance in the role.
11. Contribute to team-level annual operational and financial budgets.
What you will need:
The Electrical Project Engineer will be qualified to a minimum HNC level in an appropriate Electrical engineering discipline and must have wide experience in the works processes and control systems. You will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to safety including PUWER regulations and be competent in the operation of computer systems with proven experience of engineering systems and techniques.
Experience of project management and the ability to provide informative structured project plans are desirable qualities. The individual will be an integral part of the engineering function, working closely with the operations and Engineering team to deliver results and ensure production performance meets the required targets.
