Auto-Electrician – Plant Machinery (Hemel Hempstead)

NEOS Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established plant maintenance company based near Watford. They are seeking a skilled and flexible Hybrid Auto-Electrician to join their team, working both in the workshop and on customer sites.
As a Hybrid Auto-Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems on a variety of plant machinery. This role combines workshop-based work with on-site service, providing variety and hands-on experience with modern and traditional plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic systems on plant machinery
* Carry out fault-finding on hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic systems
* Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment
* Support workshop and on-site teams to ensure machinery is operational and safe
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues to management
* Ensure all work is carried out safely, following company procedures and health & safety regulations
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate clearly with management
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as an auto-electrician, preferably with plant or construction machinery
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and diagnostics
* Ability to work independently on-site and as part of a workshop team
* NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
* Own tools suitable for the role
* Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to changing work priorities
* Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
