Senior Program Manager - Commercial Strategy & Product Portfolio (12-Month Contract) 12 month contract (extension highly likely, initiatives expected to run until 2030) Full Time Hybrid (2-3 days onsite) - Hertfordshire About the Role We are supporting a global pharmaceutical organisation in appointing a Senior Program Manager to join their Commercial Strategy & Product Portfolio function . This role will take ownership of high-impact, cross-functional commercial programmes , ensuring multiple initiatives across the portfolio are aligned, integrated, and delivering measurable business outcomes. You will work closely with senior leadership to translate strategic priorities into coordinated programme execution , acting as a key driver of delivery, alignment, and decision-making across markets. Key Responsibilities Programme Ownership & Delivery Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-workstream commercial programmes Ensure alignment of interconnected initiatives across: Product launches Indication expansions Lifecycle management strategies Drive delivery against programme objectives, timelines, and KPIs Portfolio Execution & Strategic Alignment Support execution of portfolio-level strategy across multiple assets and markets Partner with senior leadership on: Portfolio prioritisation Resource allocation Strategic trade-offs Ensure all initiatives are aligned to overall commercial objectives Cross-Functional Leadership Orchestrate collaboration across: Commercial / Brand Teams Market Access & HEOR Medical Affairs Supply Chain / Manufacturing Finance & Forecasting Align senior stakeholders (Director / VP level) to drive cohesive programme delivery Governance & Executive Reporting Establish and lead programme governance structures Drive steerco meetings and executive updates Provide clear reporting on: Progress vs plan Risks and mitigation strategies Key decision points Strategic Problem Solving & Decision Support Identify and resolve programme-level risks and dependencies Analyse market, competitive, and performance data Deliver actionable recommendations to support leadership decisions Experience Required Strong experience within pharmaceutical or biotech environments Proven track record managing complex, multi-workstream programmes Experience across: Commercial strategy Product launches Portfolio or lifecycle management Ability to influence and operate at senior stakeholder level (Director / VP) Background in consulting or in-house strategy/commercial roles highly desirable Key Skills Programme leadership and delivery at scale Strategic thinking combined with strong execution capability Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills Ability to manage complexity and bring structure to ambiguity Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Why This Role?
