We are working on behalf of one of our clients to recruit an experienced Health & Safety Manager to lead the operational and strategic delivery of the organisation’s Health & Safety function. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and embed a proactive safety culture within a complex, multi-site environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of all Health & Safety systems, policies and compliance programmes, ensuring they are robust, current, and aligned with UK legislation and best practice. Acting as the organisation’s competent person, you will provide professional guidance to senior leaders and operational teams, ensuring health, safety and welfare remain central to all activities.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the organisation’s Health & Safety compliance programme.

Develop, implement, and maintain management systems, policies, and procedures.
*
Advise senior management and operational teams on all H&S matters.
*
Ensure buildings and operations meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
*
Conduct audits, inspections, and investigations; drive corrective and preventive actions.
*
Deliver clear reporting frameworks on safety performance and risk.
*
Champion a positive Health & Safety culture and continuous improvement.
*
Manage training delivery, compliance monitoring, and competency frameworks.
*
Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and lessons-learned reviews.
About You
You’ll be an experienced and qualified Health & Safety professional, confident working across property, utilities, energy, or facilities management environments. You will combine technical expertise with strong communication and influencing skills, ensuring compliance is achieved through engagement and accountability.
Essential Requirements

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
*
Certified Membership of IOSH (or equivalent).
*
Extensive Health & Safety experience within energy, utilities, facilities management, or residential property sectors.
*
Proven experience developing and implementing H&S management systems.
*
Ability to provide competent advice to senior leaders and operational teams.
*
Strong project management, audit, and incident investigation experience.
Desirable
*
Experience with digital compliance and reporting systems.
*
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 frameworks.
