Aspiring Drama Therapist Hillingdon – Education and Training – Aspiring Drama Therapist Hillingdon
Role: Learning Support Assistant (SEN and SEMH focus)
Location: Westminster, London
Pay: £101.40 to £109 per day
Start Date: Immediate, continuing through to the end of the 2025/26 academic year
About the role
This position is ideal for graduates who are confident using drama, creative expression and relationship-building to make learning accessible and enjoyable for pupils with additional needs.
You will be expected to:
1. Use creative techniques such as drama, movement, music or storytelling to engage and motivate pupils
2. Support students emotionally as well as academically, helping them regulate and build confidence
3. Form strong, trusting relationships with students who benefit from consistency and care
4. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and SEN specialists to support individual learning plans
Each morning you will receive 45–60 minutes of dedicated preparation time before entering the school. This allows you to review safeguarding updates, understand pupil needs for the day and start your placement feeling confident and ready.
