Job Summary
The Trust nurseries are looking for kind, thoughtful, enthusiastic and loyal Early Years Practitioners to provide and enhance good quality care to an established and popular workplace day nursery, within the grounds of St Peter's Hospital. The Trust has two nurseries and you will be required on occasions to work across site, although the post will be primarily based at St. Peter's Hospital.
Main duties of the job
• Provide a stimulating, caring and learning environment for children of all ages.
• Enable positive feedback to parents about children’s development.
• Act under the direction of the Advanced Early Years Practitioner in day‑to‑day nursery running.
• Write and maintain children’s Learning Journeys and develop individual short and medium term development plans.
• Follow safeguarding, medication and health and safety procedures.
• Attend regular team meetings and statutory training (Safeguarding, Information Governance, Health & Safety, Manual Handling, Equality, Hand Hygiene and Fire Training).
Person Specification
* Essential qualifications: NVQ3 in Childcare and Education
* Experience: Previous experience working with children aged 3 months to 5 years.
* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
* Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff.
* Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
Contract & Working Pattern
Permanent, full‑time, working pattern: full‑time.
Salary
£26,240 to £27,928 per annum (including HCAS).
Location
St Peter's Hospital, Guildford Road, Chertsey, KT16 0PZ.
