The Opportunity
We are seeking a Site Agent to join our team to deliver Southwest Water Framework projects.
You will manage projects within the Infrastructure Business Unit in the Water streams from contract award to completion, ensuring acceptable financial outcomes while adhering to quality, safety, and environmental policies. Reporting to either a Contracts Manager or Project Manager depending on the project’s value and complexity, and your experience.
What you will be doing
* Resource allocation and management of Site staff.
* Reporting on department budget control procedures for contracts and progress against the programme.
* Ensuring safe systems of work and adherence to the Company Safety Policy.
* Monitoring and enforcing the Division’s Quality Assurance and Environmental systems.
* Managing projects and contracts.
* Communicating project progress at all levels.
* Line management and supervision of Sub Agents & General Foreman.
* Supervising Site Engineers, Foremen, and Gangers indirectly.
What we will need from you
* Essential: Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree.
* Desirable: Chartered status or nearing completion.
* Evidence of relevant post-graduation practical training (e.g., courses on Contracts, Formwork/Falsework, Concrete Technology, H & S Management).
* Proven experience on challenging projects with major clients such as LUL, HA, Water Companies, Petro/Chem.
* Experience demonstrating progression from engineering roles to Site Agent with both theoretical and practical knowledge.
* Site qualifications: CSCS card, SMSTS (5 days), First Aid at Work (4 days), National Water Hygiene card.
