This role is ideal for those looking to develop clinical experience in children's mental health and psychology services, including individuals preparing for clinical training. You will work under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting service delivery through direct clinical work, service evaluation, and research activities.
1. Support psychological assessments, interventions, and evaluations under supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.
2. Assist in delivering evidence-based individual and group interventions to children, young people, and families.
3. Contribute to data collection, audits, and service evaluations to inform pathway development and improvement.
4. Gain experience in clinical presentations such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and phobias.
5. Develop clinical knowledge and reflective practice through supervision, training, and peer learning.
6. Support cognitive assessments and school-based observations as required.
7. Collaborate with team members across MERs and professionals in other services like CORE, Eating Disorders, and Neurodiversity pathways.
8. Engage with CPD opportunities and contribute to a supportive team culture.
You will support Clinical Psychologists in providing specialist assessments and contribute to service development through projects like creating specialist resources and participating in audit and evaluation processes. The role involves supporting children, young people, and their families, delivering high standards of service, sharing best practices, and actively improving service delivery.
