As a dynamic business we need to have the right people who are as passionate as we are about our mission to protect people on the move and due to continued growth and ambitious plans for 2025 we are looking for a new member to support our established and high performing finance team with a new Finance Assistant on an initial 9 month contract, based at our Telford Head Office (TF1 6QJ). You will be responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function across our wider group of businesses, assisting the Financial Controller with a fully generalist role to deliver a varied and growing workload. Your day-to-day: Managing the Purchase & Sales Ledgers Raising Customer Invoices (manually as well as in Sage 200) Ensuring Supplier invoices/requests for payments received are checked/posted accurately and in a timely manner. Managing the cashbook/cash allocations Reconciling bank and petty cash accounts Balancing the accounts on a daily basis Maintaining and updating spreadsheets Purchase and Sales Order Processing Credit and Debtor control Month end completions - Producing monthly sage reports and checks, closing the account period via Sage 200 Producing and sending monthly sales statements Assisting with managing purchases of stock, liaising with the warehouse Answer / make calls in a professional manner as an ambassador for TTC Assisting other departments with adhoc queries Handle and resolve queries from suppliers, escalating as necessary This role is based at our Telford Head Office, Hadley Park East (TF1 6QJ): 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00 on an initial 9 month fixed term contract. The ideal candidate: Demonstrable experience in a Finance, Accounts or similar role Overarching knowledge of department processes, making suggestions of improvements to create time and resource saving advantages.
