Lead Practitioner
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Location: Irford House, Leeds, LS14 6PA, with travel across all Forward Leeds hubs as needed.
About the role...
The Criminal Justice team at Forward Leeds supports individuals experiencing problematic substance use involved in the Criminal Justice system.
1. The Lead Practitioner will support the Team Manager in managing a large team of Case Managers across three Leeds hubs, supporting service users upon release from prison and those mandated by Courts to address drug and/or alcohol-related offending.
2. Provide line management to team members, ensuring they have support and guidance to deliver quality services and develop in their roles for future career progression.
3. Drive a culture of collaborative working with stakeholders including Probation, Prisons, Courts, Police, and the Commissioning Team.
4. Manage a team working with individuals leaving prison to ensure continuity of treatment.
5. Work with ART and DRR referrals.
6. Support service users with a range of substance misuse issues including Opiates, Alcohol, and Non-Opiate substances.
About you...
* Experience in substance misuse services is beneficial.
* Knowledge of and experience with the Criminal Justice System.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
* Understanding of and ability to implement evidence-based interventions, including brief interventions, MI, PSIs, CBT, and ITEP.
* Experience in conducting service user assessments, including comprehensive risk assessments.
* Previous line management experience is desirable but not essential.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A passion to make a positive impact, with flexibility and dedication to supporting staff and service users.
