Position Details
* Band 8b (£70,986 to £75,937 per annum)
* Location: Office Based at University Hospital Crosshouse with travel within the Board area
* Type: Full-time, permanent
Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Head of Learning, Development & Staff Experience. This role provides leadership to our Learning, Organisational Development, and Staff Experience functions, playing a key role in ensuring a motivated, skilled, valued, and engaged workforce dedicated to delivering the healthiest life possible for everyone in Ayrshire and Arran.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in organisational development, culture change, and learning and development, with a passion for transformation through collaboration and innovation, including digital learning. As NHS Ayrshire & Arran begins a culture reform program, the postholder will be instrumental in advancing this agenda and embedding core organizational values of safety, caring, and respect.
Key Responsibilities
* Set strategic direction for developing organizational culture
* Ensure learning and development approaches align with organizational goals and NHS Scotland policies
* Collaborate with local forums and regional/national colleagues
Candidate Requirements
* Masters level education in a relevant discipline or equivalent
* Professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD)
* Significant operational experience in learning and development
* Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
