About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Data Governance professional to implement their comprehensive data governance framework. You'll ensure our data assets are managed with complete integrity, security, and strategic value whilst collaborating with teams across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
* Lead from the front - delivering and enforcing data governance policies and frameworks organisation-wide
* Deliver and implement company wide data policies
* Drive Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives, ensuring exceptional data consistency, quality, and reliability
* Deliver comprehensive policies - review data management procedures and guidelines that set the standard
* Be the expert - Serve as our go-to subject matter expert, providing guidance and training to stakeholders at all levels
* Ensure compliance - Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards to keep us ahead of the curve
* Own the data lifecycle - Manage organisational data from creation to retirement through robust policies
* Drive continuous improvement - Assess and enhance our data governance practices to maintain competitive advantage
Essential Experience:
* Proven track record in Master Data Management and enterprise data governance initiatives
* Strong examples of data cleansing, deduplication, standardization, and ongoing governance to maintain data quality over time.
* Experience in reviewing and implementing data governance policies and procedures.
* Strong credentials in data governance with relevant certifications or specialist training
* Technical expertise in deploying and integrating new data management software platforms.
* Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
* Proven ability to work independently and successfully lead cross-functional teams.
Highly Desirable:
* Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field
* Professional certification in Data Governance, Data Management, or related disciplines (DAMA MDM, DCAM, etc.)
* Experience in regulated environments or sectors with strict data compliance requirements
