Borders Buses have a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled PSV/HGV Mechanic to join their team in Galashiels to help maintain our fleet and ensure we operate to the highest possible standards. Main responsibilities include: Vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs on the varied fleet, including MOT preparation Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard in a timely and cost-effective manner Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company’s Operator Licence The ability to organise daily workload, communicate effectively and work flexibly The ability to work to the highest health & safety standards Job requirements: Essential : You will have a qualification in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair to NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or international equivalent 2 years experience An understanding of DVSA compliance Full UK driving licence Desirable : Full Category D PCV licence (if you don't have it, we can train you through our in-house training school) Benefits: A permanent, secure job 30 days paid holiday Free travel for you and your family Ongoing training Development and career opportunities If you have the drive and determination to succeed in this role, we would love to hear from you.
