What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
* Support the Registered Manager in running a safe, child-centred home (up to 3 young people).
* Lead shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure consistent, high-quality care delivery.
* Help develop individual care plans and ensure every child is supported emotionally and practically.
* Support staff inductions and training, promoting good practice and a positive team culture.
* Provide therapeutic care and help children manage complex behaviours and emotions.
* Take part in fun activities, days out, and holidays — helping create special moments and positive experiences.
* Keep accurate records and uphold safeguarding protocols and professional standards.
What You’ll Need
* Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a children’s residential setting.
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Minimum 22 years old (as per Ofsted regulations).
* A manual driving licence is essential.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed care, and team leadership.
* A calm, resilient, and child-focused approach.
