Join our team as a Farm Secretary at Strathtyrum Farm, near St Andrews.
We're looking for a talented individual to join us as a Farm Secretary, working 30 hours per week. This opportunity arises due to a recent retirement.
The Role:
As our Farm Secretary, you'll play a vital role in supporting the estate's operations, providing clerical and administrative assistance to the business. This position offers exposure to various aspects of the estate, making it a varied and dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate records for livestock, crops, and stock levels to support future planning.
· Assist the farm manager with government grant and subsidy applications (e.g., BPS, AECS).
· Complete weekly animal movement paperwork and i-livestock records.
· Liaise with agricultural bodies, suppliers, and contractors.
· Coordinate vehicle and property maintenance schedules.
· Manage enquiries for the hire of event spaces, co-ordinate viewings and invoicing
· Manage holiday cottages bookings calendar.
· General administrative duties, including managing correspondence, taking meeting minutes, filing systems, and answering calls.

· Experience: Previous experience as a farm secretary is advantageous, but full training will be provided.
· Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, numeracy, and IT proficiency.

· Adaptability: Comfortable liaising with a range of stakeholders and thriving under pressure.

Work hours:
