Principal Manufacturing Technology Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, England, United Kingdom
Contract: 12 month contracts, full time, on site
Rate: £47.14 per hour (Umbrella - Inside IR35)
Role Overview
We are looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to convert engineering design intent into manufacturing data for operations use, manage teams, and ensure high quality and cost‑effective production.
Responsibilities
* Convert engineering design intent into manufacturing engineering data for operations use.
* Complete personal and team tasks in a timely manner using appropriate techniques.
* Manage and develop staff in line with performance management techniques and processes.
* Identify own development opportunities.
* Check and approve the team's work ready for release to manufacturing operations.
* Build effective internal and cross‑functional relationships to achieve project requirements.
* Identify manpower and activities required to meet the programme of work.
* Assure product and process quality, develop and test new systems when needed.
* Provide decision‑making information by calculating production, labour, and material costs; review production schedules; estimate future requirements.
Qualifications
* Experience in defining and managing Key Performance Indicators.
* Experience in performing root cause analysis and reporting on countermeasures.
* Previous experience dealing with performance management and leading a team.
* Professional knowledge of relevant engineering standards including SHE regulations.
