We are looking for a Clinical Service Lead (Band 8A) for Paediatric Audiology for 12-14 months fixed term maternity cover.
Your role will require you to manage the Paediatric Audiology Service.
We have recently been assessed by NHE England and NWL ICB and they have provided full assurance of our paediatric audiology service.

Main duties of the job
Leadership and staff management
• Lead, support and manage the Paediatric Audiology team to ensure high quality patient care is delivered.
• Oversee recruitment, training, supervision, and performance appraisals.
Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance
• Ensure compliance with BSA and BAA clinical standards and best practice guidelines.
• Maintain annual UKAS IQIPS accreditation.
• Participate in inspections such as NHS England reviews.
• Lead on incident reporting, risk management, and complaints resolution.
• Lead on research in Paediatric Audiology, and link with other research providers.
Operational management
• Oversee daily clinical service delivery to ensure efficiency and high standards of care.
• Develop and implement local operational policies and procedures.
• Maintain and review Paediatric Audiology Quality Manual.
• Review DM01, NHSP NH2 and other KPI requirements.
Service Development and Improvement
• Identify opportunities to expand services in line with patient need and strategy.
• Undertake and oversee clinical and non-clinical audits.
• Use data and feedback to drive innovation and enhancement.
Budget and resource management
• Support budget planning, monitoring and cost-effective resource use.
• Ensure staffing levels and manage Bank/Locum staff.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
• Collaborate with departments to co-ordinate care.
• Represent the service in meetings or inspections.

1. Degree level training in Audiology or Educational audiology/HTS studies in Paediatric audiology
2. Registered as a Clinical Scientist (HCPC) or RCCP
3. Masters/working towards or equivalent level qualification in audiology
4. Leadership and management training

6. Experience in managerial role within a Paediatric Audiology Service
