Reporting to the Production Director, the purpose of this role is to plan, implement and deliver items deemed of a mechanical/technical nature on behalf of our client company. This includes any training activities in order to meet company targets for the retention of growth and profitability, and to contribute as a Senior Manager on all aspects of best practice on behalf of the business.
Duties
1. Creating maintenance schedules and delegating tasks to team members
2. Creating permits and hot permits to work for both internal and external technicians
3. Supervising maintenance team and ensuring they follow safe work and ISO practices
4. Arranging and/or performing on-site repairs
5. Scheduling approved contractors for major repairs as required and ensuring safe work and ISO procedures are adhered to
6. Discussing maintenance concerns with the Production Director and communicating these to the Maintenance team
7. Responding to and arranging emergency maintenance needs
8. Developing maintenance and negotiating vendor contracts
9. Controlling and monitoring inventory
10. Arranging, controlling and monitoring external inspections
11. Controlling and monitoring internal inspections, including but not limited to:
12. Biomass Systems
13. Daily/weekly/monthly etc scheduled maintenance
14. Ladders
15. FLT’s
16. Fire/alarms, lights, and extinguishers etc.
17. Coordinating minor works performed by outside approved contractors and ensuring H&S/ISO procedures are adhered to
18. Keep all training and H&S/ISO records relevant and up to date as required by current legislation and/or company policy
19. To manage and ensure all relevant documents within the department registry are updated as required
20. Responsible for Quality of Service
21. Overseeing safety of employees and company assets
22. Responsible for training and induction for new employees
Essential Requirements
23. City & Guilds 18th Edition Certification
24. Inspection and Testing 2391/2 or equivalent
25. Experience of managing and coordinating contractors
Desirable Requirements:
26. Minimum NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
27. 5+ years experience in an electrical capacity
28. Own tools and a clean driving licence
29. Ability to liaise and work with different departments
30. Knowledge and experience of Plc’s
31. Knowledge of current Health & Safety requirements
32. Experience of working within a production environment
33. ATEX registered

34. Up to £50k
