£25,000–£30,000 per annum (DOE)
Overview
We’re a small, creative landscape design / planting-focused business based in Reading, working mainly across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. We’re looking for a highly organised, proactive Administrator to support day-to-day operations, marketing, and project coordination.
This role would suit a bright, motivated post-graduate or early-career individual with an interest in plants, landscape design, making, and creative businesses. The role is primarily home-based, with the option to visit sites or attend meetings if you’d like.
Key Responsibilities
Administration & Coordination
1. Taking and responding to client calls and enquiries
2. Managing schedules, appointments, and diaries
3. Assisting with project tracking, timelines, and progress updates
4. Maintaining site diaries and helping keep tabs on ongoing projects
5. General admin support to keep projects and workflows running smoothly
Marketing & Communications
6. Assisting with social media (primarily Instagram)
7. Helping draft and schedule blog posts, captions, and basic marketing content
8. Supporting brand voice and visual consistency across platforms
9. Light research or content planning around planting, landscape, or creative topics
Project Support
10. Helping organise information, drawings, photos, and notes
11. Liaising with contractors, suppliers, or collaborators when needed
12. Optional site visits to observe progress and assist with documentation
About You
13. Highly organised, reliable, and good at juggling multiple tasks
14. Confident communicator (written and verbal)
15. Comfortable taking initiative and working independently
16. Interested in plants, landscape design, creative work, or making things
17. Familiar with Instagram and basic content creation
18. Tech-comfortable (email, calendars, shared docs, etc.)
19. A positive, can-do attitude — happy to learn and grow with the role
Desirable (but not essential)
20. Background in a creative, design, horticulture, or environmental field
21. Experience with blogging, social media, or small business marketing
22. Driving licence (useful for optional site visits)
