We are seeking a reliable and detail-orientated legal cashier to join our finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing the firm's financial transactions and ensuring full compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong accounting skills and experience within a legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Processing client and office account transactions in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Rules.
* Handling daily banking, including receipts and payments.
* Managing client account reconciliations and ensuring balances are accurate.
* Processing CHAPS, BACS, and other electronic payments.
* Posting and allocating receipts and payments to the correct client matters.
* Assisting with month-end and year-end procedures.
* Checking completion statements for sales and purchases and estate accounts.
* Liaising with fee earners regarding any problems.
Requirements:
1. Must have two years experience in a legal cashiers' department.
2. Strong understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
3. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Good organisational and time management skills.
5. Previous use of case management systems - LEAP.
