Care Assistant – Bosworth Care Home, Weymouth
Pay: £12.85 – £13.35 per hour
Location: Bosworth Care Home, Southdown Avenue, Weymouth, DT3 6HR
Job Type: Maternity cover; bank roles available.
Role Overview
As a Care Assistant, you’ll support residents to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity. Your responsibilities include:
* Person-centred care – supporting residents with personal care such as bathing, dressing, oral care while promoting independence and choice.
* Care planning – contributing to care reviews and ensuring support plans reflect individual needs.
* Medication support – administering medication safely and in line with procedures.
* Activities & companionship – taking part in social activities, outings, and meaningful engagement within the home.
* Team support – helping new or existing colleagues through shadowing and teamwork, supporting the smooth running of the home when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Minimum 12 months remaining on right to work in the UK. Skilled or student visas are not accepted.
* Caring, positive, and reliable individuals.
* Previous care experience not essential – fully funded training provided.
Schedule & Pay Rates
* Day Care Assistant: 42 hours per week, 8am to 8pm on a two-week rolling rota (including alternate weekends). Pay: £12.85 per hour.
* Night Care Assistant: 42 hours per week, 8pm to 8am on a two-week rolling rota (including alternate weekends). Pay: £13.35 per hour.
