Job Description Private Client Solicitor – 5 PQE (Surrey) A well-established legal practice is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (5 PQE) to join its Surrey team. The department specialises in wills, probate, estate planning, inheritance tax, and trusts. Key Responsibilities: Advise client s on a wide range of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, and powers of attorney. Manage your own caseload efficiently while maintaining excellent client communication and service standards. Draft and prepare legal documents such as wills, lasting powers of attorney, and trust deeds. Provide guidance on inheritance tax planning and trust creation and management. Assist with estate administration, including probate applications, reporting, and asset distribution. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements. Keep up to date with developments in private client law through continuous professional development. Candidate Requirements: 5 years’ post-qualification experience in private client law. Experience with trusts is highly desirable. Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex matters clearly. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Empathy and professionalism when dealing with client s on sensitive matters.
