Technical Sales Manager – Industrial Valves & Blowers
Location: UK (Field-based with travel)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 base + uncapped commission (OTE £60,000–£70,000)

European Gate Valves Ltd supplies industrial valves, diverters, fans, and blowers across the UK & Ireland. We work with global partners to deliver reliable, engineered solutions to industries including cement, energy-from-waste, chemicals, and bulk materials handling.
We are looking for a proactive Technical Sales Manager to strengthen our UK business — someone who combines commercial drive with the ability to understand technical requirements and turn them into solutions.
The Role
You’ll split your time between developing new customer relationships (around 70%) and supporting existing accounts (around 30%). This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with engineers, buyers, and project managers, translating specifications into clear proposals and securing orders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate new business opportunities through site visits, networking, and customer outreach.
* Support and grow existing accounts, increasing sales of valves, blowers, and process equipment.
* Interpret technical specifications and prepare cost-effective quotations with input from the engineering team.
* Negotiate and secure project orders to achieve agreed sales targets.
* Build and maintain a strong pipeline, with accurate reporting in CRM.
* Visit clients regularly across the UK and attend relevant industry events.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record in technical/engineering sales, ideally valves, blowers, or other heavy-duty mechanical/process equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret specifications, and to communicate technical solutions clearly to both engineers and buyers.
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
* Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage your own workload.
* Target-driven with a record of closing orders.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively.
The Package
* Base Salary: £40,000–£45,000
* Commission: Uncapped, tiered structure (OTE £60,000–£70,000+)
* Car Allowance: £5,500 per year + fuel card
