We’re looking for a Butchery Supervisor to join our Spalding site, leading a high-performing team and driving results across production.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor or someone ready to step up into their first leadership role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
You’ll play a key role in delivering production targets, yields, quality, and safety standards, while developing and supporting your team to perform at their best.
Location - Spalding
Working Hours - Monday to Friday - 06:30 am - 16:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate and manage operatives and Team Leaders within the butchery department
* Drive performance against KPIs including yield, efficiency, quality, and service levels
* Ensure all processes meet food safety, hygiene, and H&S standards
* Monitor performance, resolve issues quickly, and reduce downtime and waste
* Support training, coaching, and development of team members
* Ensure accurate production and compliance documentation
* Manage labour effectively to meet operational needs
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Deputise for the Butchery Manager when required
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in butchery, meat processing, or food manufacturing
* Ability to debone leg and shoulder, and understanding of carcass structure
* Previous supervisory/team leader experience or a strong operative ready to step up into a leadership role
* Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and GMP
* Experience working with KPIs and production targets
* Strong communication and people skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
* Confident using IT systems (e.g. Excel, SAP or similar)
