Post: Peri Teacher
Purpose: To challenge educational and social disadvantage in the North.
Responsibilities
* Live the mission, values and drivers every day.
* Plan and deliver high quality instruments to individuals and groups of students.
* Plan and direct high-quality ensembles as directed by the head of music.
* Prepare students for external performance examinations such as GCSE, A level and ABRSM or similar.
* Prepare individuals and ensembles for academy concerts and other events on a regular basis and attend these concerts as an ambassador for the music department as requested by the head of music.
* Select and / or arrange musical repertoire according to the needs of students.
* Engage fully in our trust’s professional growth process to fulfil personal potential and be able to participate effectively in the implementation of our academy’s strategic big moves.
* Attend meetings / training and carry out administrative tasks and duties as specified by the head of music – this will include the creation of a student timetable which is effectively rotated and submission of student reports as per the academy calendar.
* Consistently implement all trust policies and contribute to decision-making and consultation procedures.
* Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to a designated safeguarding lead.
* Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the principal.
