Job Description:
Hays Education is seeking a passionate and caring Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children in their early learning stages at schools in Bristol. This is a part-time position, with morning hours only, focusing on nurturing young children and supporting their developmental needs in a positive, engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support teachers in delivering engaging and educational activities tailored to the needs of early years students.
2. Work with small groups or individual children to enhance their learning experiences and encourage their development.
3. Assist in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.
4. Encourage children’s social and emotional development, promoting positive interactions and self-confidence.
5. Support children with basic tasks such as reading, writing, and creative activities.
6. Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
7. Observe and track the development of children, offering feedback to teachers and parents.
Key Requirements:
8. Experience working with young children, ideally in early years or in an educational setting.
9. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for working with young children.
10. Patience, creativity, and a nurturing approach to supporting children’s learning.
11. Ability to work well within a team and independently.
12. Enhanced DBS check (Hays can assist with this if needed).
13. Level 2/3 Early Years Education qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
