The Opportunity
We are seeking an inspiring and strategic Head of Inclusion to lead and shape the College’s inclusive education provision.
This is a senior leadership role where you will drive a whole-college approach to inclusion, ensuring that every learner - regardless of need, background or barrier, has equal access to high-quality education and meaningful progression opportunities.
You’ll lead a committed team across Inclusive Learning, Employability & Life Skills, SEND support and transitional pathways, embedding inclusive practice into the fabric of teaching, learning and student experience across the College.
What You’ll Be Leading
* A college-wide inclusion strategy that ensures inclusive practice is visible in every classroom, curriculum and learner journey
* High-quality provision for learners with SEND, EHCPs and additional needs, alongside those from disadvantaged or vulnerable backgrounds
* Specialist pathways including Employability & Life Skills, supported internships and 14-16 provision
* The effective deployment of support staff to ensure equity of access and meaningful learner outcomes
* Strong partnerships with employers and external organisations to create real-world opportunities for learners
What You’ll Be Responsible For
* Providing strategic leadership across all areas of inclusion, ensuring consistency, quality and impact
* Leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
* Embedding inclusive teaching practices through training, coaching and professional development
* Ensuring effective EHCP processes, transitions and learner support planning
* Using data and insight to drive improvement, measure impact and inform decision-making
* Maximising funding to deliver the best possible support for learners
* Acting as a champion for inclusion, equality and learner voice across the College
About You
* Has significant experience in SEND, inclusion or additional learning support within education
* Can think strategically while delivering practical, measurable outcomes
* Is passionate about improving opportunities for learners facing barriers
* Has a track record of leading teams and driving positive cultural change
* Builds strong relationships with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders
* Is committed to equity, diversity and inclusive education
