You will be working closely with pupils with Autism aged 3 to 16, supporting their learning, communication, and social development in specialist educational settings. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work within specialist educational environments, supporting pupils to engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve personal milestones in a supportive and inclusive setting. What We Offer Competitive weekly pay: £475 to £550 Flexible full-time and part-time positions Opportunities across a variety of SEN school settings Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement Access to specialist training and professional development Long-term and short-term assignments available The Role You will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including: MLD – Moderate Learning Difficulties SLD – Severe Learning Difficulties ASC – Autism Spectrum Condition PMLD – Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties PD – Physical Disabilities EBD – Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Key responsibilities include: Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups Assisting with classroom activities and lesson delivery Adapting learning materials to meet individual needs Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff What We’re Looking For Experience supporting children or young people in education, care, or support settings A patient, positive, and flexible approach Ability to manage behaviour calmly and effectively Strong communication and interpersonal skills Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3) are desirable but not essential We also welcome candidates with backgrounds in: Care and support work Youth work Nursery or childcare Residential care Coaching or mentoring Why Join Vision for Education ?
