Central Employment are working with an established and growing Consumer Goods organisation, industry leaders in there respected category, with a global customer and partner reach. They have a new opportunity for a Junior Graphic Designer, to support there in-house Marketing team on all things creative.
Junior Graphic Designer:
On a day -to-day basis, you’ll be contributing creative ideas to bring products to life, producing sketches and computer based designs and working on both digital and print projects. With a strong eye for detail and precision, you’ll also have strong typography and communication skills.
Duties & responsibilities:
* Thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts.
* Working with a range of media
* Copywriting and proofreading to produce accurate and high quality work.
* Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches to develop concepts and ideas.
* Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and software, particularly design programmes such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Dreamweaver etc.
* Stay abreast of technical design and digital knowledge and keep up with the latest trends
* Understand how Design works with other digital channels and disciplines like UX, CRO, content management and web development
Experience required:
* Circa 2 years’ creative and digital design experience would be preferable, ideally within a creative agency or FMCG organisation.
* A strong portfolio is essential.
* A degree (or equivalent) in a design related subject.
* A creative mind-set, and an eye for detail and precision.
* Proficient in Adobe design packages
* Ability to meet strict deadlines
* HTML/CSS experience e is desirable
* Understanding of Shopify
* Knowledge of designing for responsive websites.
