About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories, just like everyone else. By joining HC-One, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to those residents.
Responsibilities
1. Plan and implement activities that delight our Residents.
2. Assist the Home Manager in organising fundraising events.
3. Help Residents socialise more effectively, develop new activity ideas based on their hobbies, and involve the care team, always with kindness as a priority.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to get along with people, planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues. Safeguarding awareness is crucial, including recognising signs of abuse or neglect and knowing how to respond appropriately.
Training and Benefits
We provide full training and offer a variety of benefits to support your well-being and career development, including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG check.
* Free uniform and nutritious meals during shifts of eight hours or more.
* Company pension scheme and 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays.
* Group life assurance, Wagestream for flexible pay, and access to GP online services.
* Learning and development opportunities, colleague discounts, Employee Assistance Programme, recognition schemes, and a refer-a-friend scheme.
We are committed to inclusive practices and encourage applicants from all backgrounds to join our HC-One family. We aim for a quick onboarding process so you can start making a difference from day one.
