This role would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers looking to begin or continue their teaching journey in a supportive school environment.
A welcoming and vibrant primary school in Bushey is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting children through a crucial stage of their early education.
About the RoleAs a Year 1 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that build on pupils’ Early Years experiences and support a smooth transition into Key Stage 1. You will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel supported and motivated to learn.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
* Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development
* Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform teaching
* Create a stimulating and safe classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (or strong relevant training experience)
* Understand the importance of transition from EYFS to KS1
* Be creative, adaptable, and passionate about teaching
* Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
