About The Role
Rugby Borough Council are entering into an exciting phase of our digitalisation journey as we continue to develop, optimise and scale AI assisted tooling and automated workflows to help drive efficiency, cost savings and maximise productivity.
As our Digital Projects Officer you'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of Data, Insights and Automation (DIA) projects from initiation through to implementation. You'll help ensure projects are are well-governed, delivered on time and within budget, and achieve the expected operational and financial benefits.
This is a great opportunity for someone with fantastic technical and communication skills who enjoys working across teams. You'll act as the key bridge between Council services, technical DIA staff and corporate governance (including the AI Ethics Board and Transformation programmes).
What you'll be doing
In This Role You'll
Support end-to-end delivery of DIA projects, from initiation to implementation
Ensure projects are well-governed with clear documentation, reporting and delivery plans
Track key milestones, risks and dependencies to keep projects on time and within budget
Work across services and technical teams to coordinate delivery and support adoption
Act as key link between stakeholders and governance processes
About You
You'll have:
Experience of managing and supporting digital and transformation projects
A reasonable amount of technical knowledge with a working understanding of digital, data or automation concepts.
Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
Ability to manage stakeholders at all levels
Awareness of information governance, data protection and ethical considerations in digital projects.
Strong communications skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues
