Job Description
The Internal Audit Manager will be tasked with;
3. High-Risk Operational Audits - Plan, execute, and oversee audits in high-risk operational areas, ensuring findings are robust, actionable, and aligned with business priorities.
4. Other Audits - leading audits into other areas including the Service Centre's operations
5. Incident and Fraud Investigation - Lead or support investigations into operational incidents, fraud, or misconduct. Ensure thorough evidence gathering, documentation, and reporting.
6. Police Liaison - Act as the primary point of contact for police and other enforcement agencies during investigations. Ensure appropriate handling of sensitive information and compliance with legal protocols.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Internal Audit Manager should have:- Full clean UK driving license- Keen to travel including overnight stays- Proven experience in internal audit, in a lead or supervisory role.- Strong knowledge of audit methodologies, risk management, and internal controls.- Excellent communication, and report-writing skills.- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.- High integrity and professional ethics.- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset.- Excellent communication, analytical, and report writing skills.- Ability to deliver training and engage with senior stakeholders.Desirable:- Professional audit or accounting qualification (e.g., IIA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).- Experience in retail, distribution, or service centre environments.- Familiarity with audit software and data analytics tools.- Experience in fraud investigation and police liaison.- Experience managing and developing audit professionals.
